Out of more than 1,200 applicants I was honoured to be selected to be awarded a grant through the ArtsPay Foundation’s Act Two: No Fuss Funding.
The ArtsPay Foundation is an independent charitable foundation with a mission to support independent artists and small arts organisations across Australia.
The ArtsPay Foundation is funded through profits from ArtsPay, a for-purpose payment processing company that provides in store and online payment services to businesses.
ArtsPay provides a democratic and wholly accessible way for businesses and their customers to support the arts, at no additional cost to them. We are changing the way arts is funded in Australia.
What an honour!!
In May 2025, MEMBER went to San Francisco to perform as part of the the San Francisco International Arts Festival.
Winning rave reviews from San Francisco Chronicle and audiences alike
Now time has passed the Edinburgh Fringe season went extremely well.
MEMBER tells the fictionalised tale of Corey - a man who has spent his life burying his past, until his son winds up in hospital as a victim.
Based on the gay hate crime epidemic that blighted Sydney’s coastline between the 1970’s and 90’s, resulting in as many as 80 murders and 30 unsolved cases to this day, this solo show presents a gruesome Australian history lesson.
Created and performed by Ben Noble, MEMBER features live cello accompaniment from performer and musician Simone Seales and direction from David Wood - all graduates of the Royal Conservatoire Scotland.
The show premiered in Australia in 2016 and premiered at La Mama in Melbourne for a sold out run at Midsumma Festival and Mardi Gras Festival in Sydney in 2017 where it received critical-acclaim and won an award at the Arch and Bruce Brown Foundation Award for Best Play.
